Colt Drouillard
Jr. Vice Commander - Army

Colt Drouillard, a Bronze Legacy Life Member of the Dekalb County VFW Post 3128 in Fort Payne, Alabama, was elected in June 2023 as State Surgeon and Jr. Vice Commander in 2024. A VFW member since 2012, Comrade Drouillard served as Post 3128 Commander, Sr. Vice Commander, Jr. Vice Commander, and Officer of the Day. He was an All-State Post Commander (Captain) (2022-2023) & All- American Post Commander (2022-2023). Comrade Drouillard served as District 2 Jr. Vice Commander from 2022 to the present and was appointed National Aide-de-Camp in 2023-2024. He also served on the National Bylaw Committee from 2023 to 2024.
 
Comrade Drouillard joined the Army in October 1992 as an infantryman (11B) at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was stationed in the Panama Canal with the 193rd Brigade until the end of his enlistment. Then he joined the Army National Guard in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with the 1-181st Field Artillery Battalion as a multi-launching rocket system (13M) (MLRS) driver and gunner. They were mobilized and then stood down. So, he volunteered to be deployed to Iraq in 2004-2005 for an 18-month deployment with the 278th Armored Calvary (19D) out of Tennessee attached to the 42nd Infantry Division and to the 1st Infantry Division as part of the captains (PSD) Personal Security Detail team. In 2012, he moved to Dekalb County, Fort Payne, Alabama, with his wife, Emily, and son, Alex.
